Show Notes

We can always change our narrative. We are never stuck by prior decisions. This is what we will be learning from the story of our guest, Kyle Sullivan, in today’s episode. Kyle founded Unleash the Champ to create powerful coaching experiences for people and organizations that lead to discovering and stepping into the champion they were created to be. With over ten years of organizational leadership & team development leading thousands of people plus a growing desire to learn it all, he strives to inspire people everywhere to unlock the cages they are in to unleash the champ within.

Wishing Away the Past – Upon explaining everything Kyle went through from being a party freak to a drug addict, he explains how he later recognized that through all that he was in the past, he was learning early entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, sort of things. And there isn’t one thing he would change from his past because changing one thing changes everything, and he did not want to wish away his past.

Constant Behavior – Kyle’s words of wisdom sums up everything important about consistent behavior and how he transformed into a better version of himself, “The thing is consistent behavior over time yields results. We decide if it’s the right or wrong direction.”

Distinction of Sharing – It’s important for us to share and show our scars, not share and show our wounds, explains Kyle. Because when one shares their wounds too soon, people do not know how to handle them.

C H A M P – Kyle further explains the acronym C-H-A-M-P to be Calling, Heart, Altitude, Mindset, and Performance.

Heart – Upon being asked which one of the five explanations of the acronym was the hardest, Kyle explains it to be the heart because it’s the one they’ve probably neglected the longest. It’s one taking care of yourself. It’s taking care of those around you, not apologizing for putting the relationships most important to you first.

Unlocking the Cages – Your comfort, your security, you got that financial affirmation of a salary, which is all really nice. But it’s a cage. It’s a comfortable cage. It’s an ice age. It’s an influential cage. And so, when you discover why you can’t do anything, but go after it, tells Kyle.
